Hourly Homecare
Hourly home care is provided to people living in their own homes who require additional support with day-to-day life, for example household tasks, personal care, preparing and cooking meals or any other activity that allows them to maintain their independence and quality of life, whilst allowing a family carer looking after a loved one to have a much-needed break to rest and recharge.
There are a range of terms different providers will use to describe hourly care services. Hourly care definitions include domiciliary care, care at home and visiting care, but all refer to the same service – a carer visiting your home at times during the day to provide care and support.
How is hourly care at home provided?
Hourly care from a competent and compassionate visiting carer can be provided from 60-minute visit a day for a minimum of three times per week. Some of our clients will require us to visit more than once a day, sometimes several visits a day, a few or more times a week. Our service is flexible so you can have as many hours as you require to make sure you have the support you need.
If you have complex needs care can be provided over a 24-hour period. Home care can also be provided by us as a live-in homecare arrangement if a more permanent service is required. For families looking after an adult who needs complex / specialised homecare, for example those looking after an elderly loved one with dementia, we offer flexible respite care at home.
Who is hourly homecare for?
If you are living with a condition, illness of disability that impacts your physical or mental ability to live well with independence, hourly visiting care really could help with everyday support to your physical and emotional well-being.
From adults who require support with mobility equipment in and around their home or an individual living with dementia who requires daily assistance with personal care and keeping on top of the housework – we provide high-quality care at home for adults who wish to continue living in their own home.
How hourly care can be used to support your live-in care arrangement.
If you are receiving a live-in care service from Plus Healthcare and you require extra hourly support to cover the live-in carers’ daily breaks, depending on the area in which you are receiving our service, we can provide an hourly arrangement suited to the client.
This hourly care service can also be used to support those who have more complex needs, where two carers may be required at certain times of the day to provide the care you need, whether this is during the day or in the evening.
